Your First Visit

 After your forms are completed, you will be offered a tour of our office and our team will be available to answer any questions you may have about the practice or your dental concerns.

Once all of your questions have been answered, you will be introduced to one or more of our doctors. After you have had the chance to meet our doctors, you will be taken back by one of our assistants or hygienists for your appointment. When you are in the treatment room, a series of X-rays will be taken. These consist of a panoramic x-ray (full mouth), bitewing x-rays (cavity detecting), and any individual x-rays as needed for isolated areas of concern. The team member will also take intra-oral photos to show you any areas of concern. 

One of our doctors will then come into the room and do charting of your teeth (any existing treatment that has been completed elsewhere), and decide if there is any current decay or treatment that needs to be completed. They will also do periodontal charting in order to determine how healthy your gums are and an oral cancer screening. Upon completion of the exam, the doctors will discuss the x-rays and photos taken and review any treatment that needs to be completed. They will also answer any additional questions you might have about the treatment. 

Next, our team will go over any necessary forms that will need to be signed prior to treatment and any medications that need to be given. You will then be escorted back to the front office and meet with one of our financial coordinators to discuss your treatment options and go over your dental insurance, along with answering any financial questions you might have. They will also assist you in scheduling your next dental appointment.
